Constantinople & Mecca is perhaps best described as a popular approach to comparative theology (Christianity, particularly Eastern Orthodoxy, and Islam). Thus, it examines what Muslims and Christians share in common and the many things that we can learn from one another.
I myself am a Greek Orthodox Christian. I hold a certificate and an MA from The Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, Cambridge. My interest in the spiritual, theological, and cultural connections of Islam with my own tradition began quite a while ago, and has (thankfully) only deepened over the years.
